Title: E3 2006: Smash Bros Brawl Announced!

At Nintendo's E3 press conference the company showed off a lot of games for their new Wii console, but one was missing, Smash Bros, well not anymore, Nintendo has just announced that their next Smash Bros game for Wii will be subtitled "Brawl", currently the following characters have been confirmed to be in the game, and they are quite suprising.
Pit (Kid Icarus)
Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid)
Zero Suit Samus (Metroid)
Meta-Knight (Kirby)
Wario (Wario)
In addition classic characters Mario, Kirby, Pikachu and Link are confirmed to be returning characters. The game will also have new items to deal out damage, such as unleashing puppies from Nintendogs.
The game will feature two methods of control, classic and motion sensing. It seems that GCN contollers may be used for the classic style contol, which was decided to be included to satisfy Smash Bros veterns, "while the new motion control adds a new dimension previously not available in fighting games".
