Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft have recently confirmed the times, dates and locations of their respective annual E3 press conferences, which occur before the trade show event.

At these press conferences, the Big Three make major announcements of new products that are to be released within the next 12 months, this year in particular is of high interest because it is expected that both Sony and Nintendo will announce full details on their next generation consoles the Playstation 3 and the recently named Wii respectively. Microsoft is also expected to make some major announcements on the software side of its Xbox 360 platform.
