After just completing the original I thought I'd start a new thread, though if people don't think it is needed then lock away :P

Anyway just wondering what people want this time around?

I myself am looking for:

A different kind of weapon to Blades of Chaos, though I know it's not going to happen. Would make things a little more interesting.

More enemies/multiple signature kills for enemies that could attack other enemies at the same time.

More boss fights! Please!

Better combo system with the Blade of Artemis. It was to easy to have your attack disrrupted compared to the Blades of Chaos.

Finally, that footage that Estapol posted looks brilliant, especially when he is on the giant bird at the end. Very exciting :D

Yes, I do believe God of War 2 will be the final blockbuster on PS2... but then again PS3 is still far from finished.

I definitely want both games in my collection.

God of War was my favorite PS2 game, I even rate it above GT4 and I'm a huge car nut :P

What would I like to see in GoW2? Some more kickass God powers that have a bigger impact on the move set. While the powers in the original are great, I'd like to see more moves avaliable to you when you use a god power, especially considering Kratos became the GoW at the end of the first.

Also some different variations of the Blades of Chaos would be sweet!

Yeah just thought of another thing on what Stuey said, it would be cool if Kratos had the abilities that Ares like those things out of his back or the fireball throwing. Would be neat :D

I'd like to see more weapons and I want them all to be at least usable, unlike that farking sword! NGB has like... 9 or 10 weapons, onimusha generally has 5 or 6, devil may cry 3 has over 10, and they're all decent! 1 is not enough!

I could probably still be sold on boss fights alone, even if the game is not a huge step forward after the original.

As long as they don't have any crappy boss battles like the very last one in the first God of War game ... I had to go back and play the first few levels of the game again just to get the sour taste outta my mouth from that last encounter.

Other than that, absolutely brilliant game and I cant wait for GOW2

I didn't think there was anything "wrong" with the final boss, just that it was about a million times harder than the rest of the game. I'm fairly sure I could get to the final boss on the hardest setting, but I doubt I'd have the patience to win.

You'd be surprised how often I still pull out the PS2. Yes the 360 gets more game time but it hasn't meant other consoles don't get touched... except my Gamecube of course but that wasn't getting touched anyway. :P

God Of War was pretty good...
But it's the basic mechanics of Devil May Cry and the sort.
I, myself, will probably get God Of War II just because I'm curious...
Curious of what more they can add to the story.
But it's gonna be another Devil May Cry type o' game.
