The magic number arrives, barely four months after the service launched...
Nintendo achieves 1 million players across its Wi-Fi service, reaching the milestone figure in significantly less time then the 19 months it took for Xbox Live. Although there's little doubt the free access has plenty to play, it cannot detract from Nintendo's online strategy, which has burst past the figure within four months of launching.
With the number of titles supporting the service beginning to gain momentum, Nintendo looks to be in an increasingly solid position to expand the service onto the Revolution later in the year.
