Hey guys :)

The Evolution team has been thinking of finally removing the 'pending' status of the 'Super Console Gaming Hub' title, and as a result the team feels that it's time for an official title.

This thread is designed for the Evolution community, that is you to brainstorm any ideas you may have for the official title, feel free to post what you think the title should be and we'll see how we go from there :)

Here's some suggestions that the Evo team has been thinking about:

Gamer's Pulse
Console Capital
Consoles Central

Honestly, the original name should've been simplified ages ago
I kinda like 'Gamer's Pulse' but it sounds more like a forum name that'd need a logo to go with it. 'Digital Gaming' perhaps? *shrugs*

Ok, so it seems people are happy with Consoles central or gaming central, i.e. something in line with the rest... I'll keep this open for more ideas for now, then when there are a few more names that people seem to like, I'll attach a poll with the most favoured titles, and hopefully we can decide on a new name :thumbsup:

I am liking either Gamer's Pulse or Gaming Central personally. One of them would suit it. :)

I don't mind of those two as well, I actually didn't notice the title of the area.

Ok, I've now added a poll, please vote for your preferred title and hopefully we'll have a new name by next week or so, if we have sufficient votes :)

Can we change it to "Super Hyper Lucky Console Gaming Hub"? That's be sweet. Otherwise, Gaming Central I guess...

One thing about Gaming Central is that it's the name of the gaming section, i.e.:

Gaming Central
- Super Console Gaming Hub
- PC Central etc.....

So it might be a bit weird having Gaming Central twice :huh: .. I put it in the poll because people seemed to like either Gaming Central/Consoles Central, so we'll see how it goes.

I voted for gaming central, but yeah it would be weird having that twice. Consoles central would be my vote if I could do it again.

Well it's a bit silly calling it gamers central...how would PC, Handheld and Arcade/Retro Central all feel!?

Then where'd we be? With only consoles, that's where...and that'd be no fun at all. :|

Console Central methinks is a much more logical option...though I still think "Super Console Gaming Hub" pwns. <_<

Well, Gaming Central seems to be getting the votes. Why not change PC/Handheld/Retro Central to "PC/Handheld/Retro Gaming".

To me, the choices of Consoles Central, Console Capital & Gaming Central look boring and forgettable. The other one is okay but I'm still undecided

I actually liked it as it is, but since people want to change it, I chose Console Central

I personally don't think it HAS to be changed, but if it does, I really don't want to make gaming central to honest, but it's the people's forum, not mine! :whistling:

I thought Super Console Gaming Hub was a quriky little title that gave the forum a bit of character, but if the people want to change it...

DZ; PC will never be merged with any of the other forums.
If portables were to be merged with the consoles, the console forum would get too crowded. Thus the Portables forum will not be merged either.

As for Arcade/Retro? Well although it doesn't get much attention, having it seperate is handy.

And if the main console forum get too crowded (say nearly a whole page of new posts every day), we've always got the option to change it back.

Actually, why not have instead of gaming central, "Console Gaming Central" that way there is not repeating and it has the 'gaming' title people seem to like :) .

Well I figure anyone who voted for Gaming Cenral would be happy with Console Gaming Central, and if I were to restart the poll we'd probably have less votes, since people wouldn't notice.

And yeah, some more input would be nice :P

Console Gaming Central is too specific in my opinion, I mean, it's not like your going to have a console central to talk about something other than gaming.

I vote to remove the 's' on Console Central, as that sounds like all of the other places (PC Central, FTMB Central, Handheld Central).

Lol, that's a good point...so if we have a Console Gaming Central, does that mean we should have a Console DVD Viewing Central? :lol:

Well now we have a tie with Console Gaming Central and Console Central so I guess Console Central is looking to be the most preferred.

It is now Console Central, mourn the death of Super Console Gaming Hub. :(

Since the title has now been changed, there is no further purpose for this thread. Thank you to all for your input, even if the final decision was relatively obvious :P
