Title: Arcade
Loach - February 14, 2006 02:32 PM (GMT)
Nice idea to implement the Arcade feature.
Any chance those games that were originally listed there will be re-appearing (eg the helicopter game)?
Hello: I was working from home.
Random Hero - February 15, 2006 03:31 AM (GMT)
I love this arcade, but holy crap!! Some of you guys are insane good, I don't think i'll ever be champ. Do'h! Still it's fun and that's what counts.

Hello: I was working from home. |
The original games are completely unavailable, they were only an example to confirm the Arcade was installed correctly. However, I have added three more games which include Advanced Curveball, Bomber Man and Super Clicker v2.0. Enjoy! :)
Also, we should have an 'Arcade Champ' badge very soon which will be awarded to the member who holds the majority of highscores. Obviously his title can only be lifted by playing and winning... so get to it!
dave_cool31 - February 15, 2006 07:55 AM (GMT)
Man I am so 1337 at Mario Catcher :P I've been waiting for someone to beat my score for days now haha!
By the way, I think you should give badges to people who are the best at individual games ;)
Squato - February 21, 2006 05:12 AM (GMT)
Is there an error with the Arcade. Or has it been taken down (or is it just TPG again).
Suity - March 3, 2006 01:14 AM (GMT)
Is there a chance of more games being added Mach?
And that goldminer is bloody addictive! :P

Not a problem, i've just added the following seven games.
Simon - Follow the pattern (Be sure to turn your volume up)
Typing Test - You have 60 seconds to type as many letters as possible.
Pacman - Eat all the little dots without letting the ghosts get you!
Tetris - Build solid lines to clear and get points. Clear four rows at the same time and you've just Tetris'd!
Donkey Kong - The classic Nintendo game.
Battle Snake - Remix of the classic snake game, with smooth controls and color customizing. This game can go on forever.
Raiden X - An arcade style shooting game.
Enjoy! :)
borgster101 - March 3, 2006 03:41 AM (GMT)
Great additions mach
Loach - March 3, 2006 11:13 AM (GMT)
Awesome news, thanks Mach.

That one has been going around in emails lately. Scared the shit out of mum. ;)
borgster101 - March 3, 2006 10:37 PM (GMT)

I think the creator has updated the aracade and somehow he deleted everything. If I go into my control panel in the arcade, the game list is empty. Apparently, it will be fixed soon.
borgster101 - March 4, 2006 02:27 AM (GMT)
Ah ok, wait and see then.
ultracrazy1 - March 6, 2006 03:12 AM (GMT)
Cheers on adding more games, I thought the only decent one on the old list was that 3D pong one. Here's hoping raiden is pretty close to the arcade version :)
Random Hero - March 6, 2006 03:49 AM (GMT)
Raiden, oh i love that game so much I remember wasting so many coins in that machine.

| It will be fixed by saturday at the latest. All I have left to do is delete the unused accounts on friday, then upload everything by saturday. |
Good news people.

Loach - March 9, 2006 01:21 PM (GMT)
Excellent. I can't wait till Borgster finds out I can type faster than him :P
borgster101 - March 10, 2006 02:09 AM (GMT)
 I can't wait either.
Random Hero - March 10, 2006 02:13 AM (GMT)
Raiden X, the gold will be mine..... oh yes it will be mine.
Machiavelli - March 11, 2006 08:47 AM (GMT)
Arcade is now up and running perfectly on it's new host. All your highscores have been retained. However, a couple of games might be missing (one or two), these will be available again soon - i'm fairly sure all the favourites are still there. For good measure I added eight more games...
Aski - Guide the skier without crashing.
Copter Crash - Guide the copter without crashing.
Snake - Eat the bolts to get larger.
Asteroids - Shoot the asteroids. Der.
Spank The Monkey - Spank the monkey!
Frogger - This is the old school classic version.
Mario Cape Glide - A Coptor Crash like game but... with Mario.
Speed - Get rid of your cards the fastest.
Game on!

Bah! Found a bug in Gold Miner that makes things alot easier. I'm not really going to be motivated to beat Loache's score now :(
Loach - March 13, 2006 02:28 PM (GMT)
How did Borgster get above me with the same score in Typing. That thing better not be based on alphabetical order, otherwise I'm signing up again as !Loach.
:P
Seriously though can we please have that Playing With Fire game back? That was great fun for when I was waiting for my computer to do something at work.
borgster101 - March 13, 2006 11:14 PM (GMT)
 Well someone had to be higher on the list Loach.
Edit Not to worry Loach I just beat your score :P

Holy crap! that typing game is intense man you got over 100! i struggle to get over 50. did you take a course in ketboarding or something? also spank the monkey is hilarious!
borgster101 - March 14, 2006 09:08 AM (GMT)
Nah I didnt take any course in typing, I guess I just post on forums a lot :P
I've always been pretty fast at typing since I can remember, it just came naturally. Actually, when I was young I used to have a really old PC that didnt have any OS, only DOS and thus I had to type all the commands to use the PC, so I've been typing for a while.

Got a suggestion for arcade:
How about we have a competition using the games. My idea is that we award the person who ever has the most wins on the most games, but not just for first place. It could be based on points, such first place is 3 points, third is 1 point with 2 obviously being 2. No points for no medal! :P
Tally them and see who the winner is. We can call it arcade week :P
EDIT: I really think that speed game is buggered, I somehow got 4000 points on the first round, when on average I usually get less than 1000.
Also around the 6th round my score was 4000, by the start of the 7th it was roughly 37000, don't know why

Sounds like an effective scoring system, once we organise an 'Arcade Champ' badge something like this will definitely begin each week. :) Both Speed (Seems glitchy) and Mario Cape Glide (Coptor Crash, but crap) were deleted, I replaced them with three new titles which include Spy Hunter, Amazing Dare Dozen and Luigi's Mini Game.

Damn I was leading those two :P
Yeah the badge sounds like a good idea. Also Mach just wondering where is it that you choose these games from?
Machiavelli - March 15, 2006 10:21 AM (GMT)
I could tell you, but when a fresh batch of games are added it would ruin the surprise. :P I can tell you, there is a rather large array of games available and around 5-10 new additions each week. It should keep us going for a while.
Machiavelli - March 20, 2006 02:10 PM (GMT)
Double post. :whistling: Ok, Luigi's Mini Game was deleted... wasn't to popular. I have just added three new games, including Firday the 24th, Gunny Bunny and Breakout. Enjoy!

Machiavelli - April 11, 2006 07:36 AM (GMT)
Some of you may have noticed that not only do we have 'Most Played Games'... we now have two new additions 'Recent Highscores' and 'Arcade Champs' which was previously not functioning. It seems thebigm (3) and ultracrazy1 (3) are tied on three a piece - once we have a clear-cut winner an Arcade Champ badge will be awarded to the title holder. Get cracking you arcade freaks. :P
Oh, by the way... around five or six new games will be added sometime this week. :)
Resident-Seven - April 13, 2006 03:51 PM (GMT)
Sorry thebigm, I stole a couple of titles off you. Now UC is the only one on 3.
Machiavelli - April 30, 2006 05:04 AM (GMT)
As you can see in the post above me, Resident-Seven currently has the Arcade Champ trophy under his date joined information. However, if he should lose his title it can easily be taken away. So watch your back jack. :P
Three more games added to the
Arcade.
1.

Bubble Trouble - Pop all bubbles to move on.
2.

Deal or No Deal - No trivia, no stunts. Just one question: Deal or No Deal?
3.

Micro Machines - Race your Micro Machines around two tracks in the fastest time.
EDIT: Malfunctioning Qubert replaced with Homer's Beer Run.
4.

Homer's Beer Run - Help Homer load his car with beer. Catch the falling kegs of beer.
Enjoy! :)
Loach - June 1, 2006 12:50 PM (GMT)
Can anyone tell me what the name of that game was that used to be in the arcade where you dropped dynamite in a little maze to blow up blocks and your 3 opponents?
I can't remember and it's been annoying me for 24 hours now.
Edit - Playing with Fire.
