I am a little bored and my main gaming rig is out of commission still so...yeah.

I think mine was... Marathon, yes... then I played Doom and Wolf 3D. To this day, I think Marathon is so damn superior to Doom its not even funny.

Doom, on my friend's super fast and sexy 486DX2 100. It must've had 100kb of RAM! :lol: (or something along those lines!)

Hmmm, wolfeinstein 3D for sure. I was more interested in finding the secret Nazi walls than killing the bad guys though.

That was mine as well, so many years ago. Must've been like 4 at the time I think :D

I think it was Wolfeinstein 3D for me as well, I probably played that game over and over again back in the day, no strafing or mouse aim :lol:

Though the first of the newer proper 3d FPSs that I played properly was Quake 3...nothing more satisfying than getting that rail shot. :D

Yep it was Wolfenstein for me too. I didn't really play Doom much, but I did play Duke 3D a fair bit. Not too long after this the N64 came along and it was Goldeneye.

Wolf 3D for me also... The first game I ever played was something like Commander Keen or Captian Comic from memory.

My first game was Commander Keen as well I think, although there was also Hocus Pocus (or something along those lines), Outrun 2 and Hugo Haunted House.

Wolfenstein 3D here. Obviously nothing special compared the standard for today's games, but back in it's day, graphics didn't get much better.

hmm, i believe it was CS v1.3 or something similar? i had played wolf3d, but i never really played a fps till CS

first FPS i played was Opposing Force, the add-on for Half-life. I played it religiously until i finaly finished it

i loved that game, it took me ages too.... around 6 months absolute classic game though infact i still have it around somewhere!!

i still have it to!!! i found it the other day!

i hope they make it again with the source engine. come on you modders out there!

I doubt they will re-make Opp Force, it wasn't popular enough.

I presume Wolfenstien - I definitely played that a bit - although it's possible that that was after playing doom or doom 2 even though it's older. Obviously one of those 3 anyway.

The first fps that I really got into was halo on xbox - completed on legendary baby :) - That was when I was working a stressfull sales job and would come home and vent my frustration for a few hours every day. :P

I think it was Quake.. maybe Doom.
