Title: How the **** did they do that?!?

For the longest time I couldn't figure out how they did that continuous shot in Back to the Future Part II where the DeLorean gently lands, cruises into the McFly driveway, and Marty gets out. They said how on the DVD and a little magic went away.

I know it's a silly and goofy movie, but in Return of the Living Dead, when Burt knocks the Tarman zombie's head off, I am flabbergasted how they do it. I mean, I'm pretty sure they use just a dummy, but the way the dummy reacts when it falls to the floor, it responds so humanly. It just does'nt fall over sideways, the knees buckle, the arms go forward as if to brace for impact with the ground. How the hell did they do that?

Another one that I don't understand is from the Japanese movie Kairo: The Pulse, there is a scene where a person jumps from the top of a structure and the camera follows them all the way down to the ground. They never cut away from the start of the scene with the person climbing over the edge, jumps and hits the ground.

Also, that scene in Meet Joe Black. It looks amazing. It looks too real to be CGI, but I guess that's what it is, right? What else could it be?

Anyone got some scenes to share that bend the mind?

ANy scene from Ong Bak, and Tom Yum Goong. I'm tellin' ya, Tony Jaa is the shiiit!! :o He does all his stunts with no wires, but they look better than any shit wire act from House of Flying Daggers or Crouching Tiger or Unleashed!

The guys amazing, especially the scene in Ong Bak where he jumps throught the roll of barbed wire. Holy cow.

Jackie Chan - Police Story

The scene where he hangs on the outside window of a runaway bus using only an umbrella as well as timing when to lift his legs to dodge oncoming traffic. I know how he did it, but it still amazes me

Jackie Chan - Armour of God

The scene where he leaps off a cliff and aims towards a passing hot air balloon, hundreds of feet up in the air. He could've easily been killed, yet he still managed to pull it off

There's other scenes too in various movies where he's risked his life countless of times for the sake of a film. God bless that man

That man is god with a damn good health insurance.

Anyway, mine was form Independence Day. It would have to be the sceen when you see the City Destroyer come out of the fire ball.

I still love that part, even if I know how they did it.

The one thing which has always left me in awe was the Coldplay video where everything was going in reverse and yet his facial expressions where going normally. If that makes sense.

Yeah, he actually had to pronounce the words backwards while walking forward. That way, when they played the clip backwards he seems to be singing... forwards. :P There are some areas where the lyrics are not synched with his lips btw. ;)

Yeah that clip was impressive, did you see coldplay on Rove too? I think that's were I heard he learned the song backward like near perfectly.

The continuous hallway fight in Oldboy. Apparently shot in 3 days. Whether it took three days to get the one take, or they didn't some awesome editing, I currently do not know.

The arrow scene in Hero. That was purely incredibly.

The special effects in Planet of The Apes were amazing. You really believed that monkeys could have meetings.

Seriously....or are you joking? Sure they were great at the time but now they most definately seem a tad dated ay?
