Title: What the holy hell!?

Comrade Natrak - September 27, 2005 09:53 AM (GMT)
Dear Nintendo,

Look, Nintendo, boys! Lads! I know you're trying to make up for the DS's slow release list but, this is just like an overdose on joy! I love you guys already, there, I said it!

I would've been happy with just a single release next week, on top of last week's Nintendogs, say, Kirby's Canvas Curse. But then I took another look at your release list, and lads, I thought you'd outdone yourselves! Advance Wars DS on the same day!? CAN MY WALLET BELCH FORTH ENOUGH CASH TO ACCOMODATE BOTH TITLES!? THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!

Alas, as though I were an s+m freak (ie. a glutton for punishment) I take a casual glance towards your release list again, and there...yet another quality title vying for my money...ON THE SAME DAY!

So please, take it easy on my frail heart next time, lads and stagger your releases over a few weeks, I don't know if I can handle all this!

Yours faithfully,

Comrade Natrak

So yeah, on October 7 Kirby's Canvas Curse, Advance Wars Dual Strike AND Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow are being released. I don't know what to do, I'll only be able to pick up one right away and it's so damn hard to seperate the three of them.

Anyway, the main point to this thread is I'm amazed at how all of the sudden the DS is really heating up, I just bought Nintendogs last week and am loving it (after, at first, being very skeptical of the game). I always knew these quality titles were on the way, but they always seemed to be on the horizon. In conclusion, I'm excited!

Very well said. Things are only going to get better and better, too. :)

Yeah I'm looking forward to a Nintendo DS game (never thought I'd say that) in Advance Wars: DS. Also Mario Kart coming soon too!

Which reminds me, will AW: DS have online play ready for November? That would be THE SHIT.

EDIT: When the fuck is a Zelda title coming out? I only just thought of Zelda on DS!

I would put my money on Castlevania.

It's been mentioned in the Twilight Princess thread, but don't expect mention of Zelda DS until next year.

And no, Advance Wars DS will not be an online title. ;)

Awesome, now all I need is for Nintendo Australia to release a black DS down here, or for Nintendo Japan to do a price drop so that I can import one at a decent price. :P (and no, I don't want a Hello Kitty Blue or Pink DS! :P)

Going with Advance Wars DS for now, and we'll have to see about the others later.

Note; Castelvania DS is released by Atari so it's nothing to do with Nintendo Australia.

I've had AW:DS for a few weeks now and it's bloody brilliant. Definately the best in the series. In reviews I have read they say the touch control doesn't make moving your troops easier than the d-pad, but I think that's a total load of crap. The touch screen makes moving your troops so much easier and just makes your moves flow a little faster.

I'm not really interested in Kirby, mainly because I already own the superb Yoshi: Touch and Go, but i'll definately think of picking up Castevania if it gets good reviews.

And to think we still have Mario & Luigi 2, Mario Kart DS, the new Super Mario Bros, Animal Crossing, Monkey Ball, Sonic Rush, and Metroid Prime: Hunters still to come!

Only 35c.

:(

Anyway, I don't want AW:DS or C:DoS. I just want Kirby lol.

I doubt it, because I'm hopefully ordering Electroplankton from Japan.

The game i'm most looking forward to is Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, but i might pick up Advance Wars & maybe Castlevania, depending on money, i still need to get Fahrenheit. :(

This I'm aware of (well, I was aware Nintendo weren't publishing it, anyway) the whole 'letter to Nintendo' thing is a device to present the topic of the thread in an interesting way, I didn't really find accuracy important. ;)

Just pointing it out for those that didnt know.

And on that, since Atari is distributing Castelvania it's RRP might be higher, say $79.

Yeah, and it probably won't be coming out next week. :P
