Title: Rugby League 2
Description: One of my most anticipated games!

This game is going to be huge. The first one, released two years ago smashed pre-order records, having the most pre-orders of any game in Australia, ever. (The record was previously held by Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and apparantely Rugby League beat it by a considerable margin)

Features:

-Multiplayer online play for all platforms, allowing competetive and friendly play over the internet, player rankings, and statistics.

-All major teams and competitions including the NRL, SuperLeague, State of Origin, City versus Country, and a range of International teams.

-Brand new gameplay features including ball stripping, shoulder barges, diving on and kicking the loose ball, contesting the high ball, pass to playmaker and more.

-New multi year franchise mode, including player contract management, injuries, judicary, and mid season representative games.

-Highly realistic, individually modelled likenesses for over 500 players and referees.

-Lifelike animation, motion captured by Weta Digital, the VFX wizards behind the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy.

But do you know what is even cooler? If you pre order the game at participating retailers, you get a FREE Mad Catz PS2 controller, in the style of the NRL team of your choice. I myself ordered a Raiders one B-)

Anyone else looking forward to this game?

Wow, the graphics actually look GOOD in the sequel!

I won't be getting(no PS2, and lack of intrest in NRL), but I'm sure I'll end up playing it at my mates house. :P

Looks alright. Can you do the "Hapoate Tackle" in the game?

I'll be getting this on the release date, not going to bother pre-ordering as the Cowboys controller looks pretty lame. Will just pick it up at Target.

I still play the first Rugby League and love it and this should be so much better with them having all the money made from the first game to spend.

Just hope that you are actually able to stop the constant offloading and the tacklers actually wrap up the ball in the higher difficulty levels. More realistic play over 80 mins would be good too instead of being able to field the same team for the full 80 and win 240 to 50.

What I mean by that is more of a struggle instead of just going from when end to the other every couple of minutes.
