Title: Boot Screens
Description: Trouble with Win32

Inquisitor - May 2, 2004 04:18 AM (GMT)
Well, I want to install a boot screen (the page that loads that says Win XP Home Edition) but when I try to, it says "[the location of the .exe program] application can not be run in Win32".

Any help would be appreciated! :)

What method are you using to put in the custom bootscreen?

Although...

Its to do with the number of colours the screen can load before windows has fully loaded. In particular the display drivers.

I used to know the full details when I was editing mine, but I got over that a while ago and don't remember totally.

Find a site with lots of boot screens and tutorials and it should be there.

I don't see the point of changing the boot screen, it's not as if I have to look at it all day... I did wonder if there was a way to change the "welcome message" though... Is there?

Yes, WinCustomize.com, has Welcome Screen editor and a slew of Welcome Screens.

Plus you are arguing against yourself, as you said why would you wanna change the boot screen, not like you look at it all day. Are you implying you look at your Welcome Screen all day?
