Actually, they all got at least 4 (ie they were ranked 7th on someone's list or received more than one vote). If they tied for score than I just put them in the order that excel put them in. But from now on they'll be in order of most votes (ie if 10 people voted for a game but put it tenth it will beat a game that one person put No 1 and no one else voted for it).

As we get closer to the number one game I'll include more information. But I couldn't be bothered doing it for all fifty games here.

Safe to say I think their is only one on that list that I voted for and it was fairly low down on mine anyway. Good signs for the rest of the games I voted for I guess.

Yeah. I made a small error so look out for that (Pro evolution got 7 points, not 71 <_<) so there's been a slight change to the list and Wizardy 8 makes the list at 52 instead of the 49 which I had it at.

Regarding voting. I'm sorry that some people didn't realise they were supposed to rank the games. With the exception of da bro Estapol if people didn't number their list I did pm them to ask them to rank them and in Estapol's case I was going to but I couldn't be bothered, so I just put them in the order I thought they should go:P (ie the order he put them in). I hope you can all handle that.

CTR was an awesome game. I played it for two whole years. I still would if I had my copy. Not that Fire Emblem sucked... but I'd play CTR over FE.

Hm super smash bros is ten places above super smash bros melee. Isn't it weird how I didn't vote for either of those games and yet I think one is clearly better than the other?

I know that this suggestion would be too much effort for everyone, but I think we would have gota better result if we had 100 games that qualified and were unranked, and then we each ranked the qualifying games and determined the top 100 that way.

Having to choose 10 games each and making a ranked top 100 out of that gives some really warped results.

Meh the original Smash bros was better than SSBM but not by much. I just found the original to be more fun and the sequel a bit cluttered. Two games that I ranked highly have yet to be mentioned. It was good to see KOTOR rank so high but damn RE4 should have done better than that.

lol - I voted for fusion frenzy too. But really it was just a vote for twisted system (the mini game where you run up a spiral ducking or jumping things) :D

The list is so funny though. I think the reason the results are not as accurate as they could be because of a small amount of voters. I'm presuming that at least two of the games I voted for that made the list didn't get any votes from anybody else.

Statistically you expect anonomlies but if the sample space is large enough they become insignificant - which is what I assumed when I voted - that due to the number of votes - the majority of games I voted for would be irrelevant and not in the list.

I reckon once this is all over we should have a 'battle of the top 100'

We have the games pitted against each other and everyone votes.

eg.

Gran Turismo vs. Final Fantasy X
etc.
etc.

It'd be a good way to decide our top game, and we could figure out a way to derive a better top 100 from the Battle results. Hell, I'd be up for counting the votes.

Bit of a suprise with number 10 hey. I did a re count and it seems that I didn't stuff up on that.

Yoshi's Island was a bit of a suprise but other than that the top ten is looking pretty good to me. Not to say Yoshi's Island wasn't cool of course. Morrowind, GTA, Prime and SM64 are all awesome games.

I haven't played yoshi's island but some people say its the best 2d platformer out there.

Yup, Yoshi's Island is Super Mario World 2, and as far as I'm concerned it's unsurprising. As Ultracrazy put it, Yoshi's Island is, in my opinion, and that of many others, the greatest 2-D Platformer ever.

Oh and Taprod, those were mere examples, I picked four games off the top of my head, you weren't supposed to look too deep into the whole thing, they were merely intended to give you a picture of how my idea would work.

Good to see alot of variety between which platform the top 102's games are on. I reckon #1 will either be Half-Life 2 or Final Fantasy VII.

Also, I found it interesting that System Shock 2 ended up infront on Deus Ex. They're both fairly similar games, but I thought these days Deus Ex would be more popular.

Where would the excitement in that be? Hopefully I can drag this out for another four days :D
