Description: What's going on in your life?

Texta - May 29, 2005 03:13 AM (GMT)
Think of this thread as a bit like a whole forum blog. So post up anything interesting that's happening in your life (or even really boring things).

So, last night my brother hit NEMESIS. It's a footbag (hacksack) move. Basically you stall the footbag on a clipper, go round it twice with both feet (twice with one, then twice with the other) and then stall it on a clipper on the other side. I can't find a video of it, but I'll make him do it again and post it up here.

I had a bet with him that he couldn't hit it in the next half hour and it took him fifteen minutes. There's this thing in footbag, where you haven't actually hit a move unless you either catch the bag afterwards or do another move so I tried to grab the bag after he hit it, but I was too slow :(

This is shit.

I found out on Thursday that my uni had not recorded some of my credit points, so thus I'm unable to graduate at the end of '05 and will have to return to study next year.

I brought this up at a family lunch, just now, and my Dad was going on about how I should battle these feminists, and not be rolled over etc, and that battling women is the hardest thing ever especially when they're femos, and my Mum was yelling at him to not go over-the-top and enforce his political views on us children, and etc. The discussion soon turned to how my sister's boyfriend crashed my sister's car last night, completely fucked it, and how two of my sister's friends had to go to hospital and my sister's boyfriend is going to be charged. And then my Dad kept on saying, "Stupid boy." And that was our family lunch.

You gotta love the family table discussions. I don't like them...

Anyway, yesterday was Saturday and I had heaps of things planned for then. There was soccer with some friends at lunch, lunch and meet-up with some other friends, and lunch on the other side of the island at another friends house.

See anything wrong? There were plans but all at the same time on Saturday. If I went to soccer, the girls at the meet up might not invite me to another one of their meets, if I went to the other side of the island for the picnic, I'd also miss out. I decided to go to the meet. Cos I wasn't feeling like sport at the time, and didn't wanna go to the picnic cos my parents were going with some of their poof french friends.

Well, when Saturday came, I ended up staying at home lying in bed with the flu and reading old Hyper magazines.

Isn't this thread just like the 3 things on your mind thread? :|

THIS POST HAS BEEN DELETED

(it was pointless and trivial)

If I were you I'd probably say something along the lines of "Professor. Did you know that you should just shut the fuck up before I fucking stab your penis with this fucking stainless steel fork?"

OMG! What has Manhunt done to me!?? I'm a monster!! AHHHH!

But that's not his problem. The big fucking problem is that they supposedly lower your IQ and turn you into a zombie (not his actual words). Although you were bang on the money about stabbing his prick with a fork.

Don't the 'bitch, anti-bitch and 3 things on your mind' threads collectively serve a similar purpose anyway? Considering the aforementioned 3 topics are probably the most actively posted in, at this rate, off topic discussion is just going to be one massive fucking emo-fest.

There was athread similar to this before made by Film Guru. Shit that was happening in your life etc.

Just another thread for him to continue his mantra of how much his awesomely original saga is gonna rock.

Well, I went to a friend's BBQ, which actualy turned out to be his 22nd Birthday (he kind of neglected to tell me that bit...). It was pretty mice and there was lamb & pork on the spit. Though I'm feeling a little bloated right now. I get the feeling I won't need to eat dinner.

I guess so. But I'd suggest it covers a lot more stuff that those threads don't. However I'm prepared to put my money behind the whole evolution/survival of the fittest and suggest that if there isn't a need for these four threads one of them will die.

If you have an idea of what you'd like Off Topic to be about, there's nothing stopping you creating threads with complete different themes.

Anyway.

I had a guy show up at my door today with a plate full of muffins. He said that he'd just moved into the neighborhood and was going around introducing himself and giving all his neighbors muffins. He was also organising a prayer night at his house once a month for everyone in the local area (I live in urban Hobart by the way), but if we couldn't make it he had a little sheet that we could fill out what we'd like them to pray about and put it in his letter box and then they'd pray about that. I might come up with a few anonymous things, but even though I'm a sworn atheist, I think I might go along anyway because I think it's just sooooooo damn cool! Plus there might be free food... or do you think I'm meant to bring something along? :|

I also went to the supermarket and didn't have enough money to pay for all my groceries. It turned out that when I looked at how much money I had this morning I confused my two accounts, but I was able to call my flat mate from the check out and get him to transfer some money over so I was ok.

And then just as we were about to turn into the drive a guy drove past and threw ice (like several kilograms!) at my brother and yelled out "Black Cunt" which wasn't very nice. But kind of funny given we're not actually black (but are partly Asian). But it did give me flash backs to discussions I've had about racism where people have said that either it's not a problem any more or that it's just as hard for white people as non-whites. I didn't really care, but my brother called the police (a racially motivated assault). He has a few bruises, but it wasn't very serious.

So I've had a pretty eventful day. Oh and I got home and have just spent the last two hours writing a wank article for a newsletter and applying to attend the UNEP International Youth Conference in Bangalore, India. All expences paid and I think I'm an excellent chance of getting to go. So that's been exciting. I think I'm going to have to pre-emptively apply for a passport (mine's definitely expired... and possibly been lost) just in case I am selected as it's in october.

Well I have a fairly chilled next few weeks school-wise, but I'm feeling damn guilty because I could be using this spare time to do other work. But apart from covering things we havent learnt yet, there's really nothing I can do. I've summarised everything, I'm working for my next SACs. I guess the pressure of aiming for 97 is finally starting to show on me. I want to get into Journalism at RMIT, the best journos course in Australia, and it needs 97.4. It needs 2 subjects over 45, and 3 over 40.

Emo ranting is the main reason why I post at internet forums. There could be 10 bitch boards in off topic and I'd still find something to cry about in each of the 10 threads :D

In my second year at Uni and the first semester is wrapping up. Classes are over so now I have to study for a stats and psychology exam on the June 8 and 17 respectively. That is plenty of time to study for just two subjects so I'm stress free at the moment.

kami - June 6, 2005 12:02 AM (GMT)
Currently have about 1 month left until next semester starts... though I can't really be bothered trying to cram in all the info I've lost/never learnt in the first place.

[DZ] - June 17, 2005 10:53 PM (GMT)
I killed 6 coconut crabs this morning! Pierced a knife through the top skull and juice spewed out. :P Gotta wait till they die before I can clean 'em and dump 'em in hot water.

I'm looking forward to getting my Special Licence today... in GT4 that is.
