Hmm sounds interesting. I play CS:S fairly regularly. I have an assignment due tomorrow night, but I might be able to come on and play if I get time.

Well a few of us Evos made it there(Natrak, Texta and Myself) as well as some Hyperians.(Geek, Pyro and Cyric to name a few)

I wasn't as crap as I thought I was(snuck in a few good kills) but I was far from l33t. :P

One of my more memorable moments was when I(CT) was standing(back turned) in front of a gap near one of those huge freighting containers(can't remember the name of the level), and Texta(Terrorist) was on the other side. Natrak(CT) was in front of me, and was trying to shoot texta, but texta ended up shoot both of us. I had no idea that I was being shot through the gap, and I didn't even work as a human shield for Natrak.
So texta got 2 in one. :P

Something went wrong in the buying process that time, I had enough money for a rifle but only wound up with a piss weak pistol. I fired a bunch of times before Texta noticed and took us down. :P

Let us never speak of "Operation Human-shield" again. :P

We actually did it again tonight, I don't believe we got as good a turn-out but it was just as fun. It's only been my third major play session of CS and I'm beginning to really enjoy it. I'm showing signs of improvement and such so now the experience is becoming more rewarding, even if I do spend 60% of my time as a corpse. :P

I wish I had source :(

Oh well, we better have a 1.6 game so I can show you all how crap I am!

I had a pretty good time. Even if I think i was the first person killed more than anyone else. We should do it again sometime.

Edit: Server was Gamespace I think. We were meant to have it for 2 hours but I think we played for more like 5 (and I could have gone for longer if all those pussies hadn't bailed).

I suggest you get Xfire, it's like MSN, but you can see what game your friends are playing, and (if possible) you can join in their game. :D

That's what I did last night, I loaded up xfire, and Cyric was playing, so I clicked "join", typed in the password ("blau") and I was in the game. :D

O My God...

I bought CS 1.5 today, when i got home i was drooling all over the carpet.
So I installed it and steam then i go to update it to 1.6 and guess what???
The bloody CD key was in use!!!!!
Some idiot must have bought it, burnt it and taken it back...

Its never a good idea to buy CS second hand. Just take it back and see if you can't get a brand new one, they are dirt cheap now.

That would require people to have CS 1.6, and more people have Source cause they got it with HL2, so I think you'll find that not as many peopel will be able to join into such a night.

Can't do that, unless things have changed since i last played. The games are to do with the CD-Key that the account was registered under, not the actual account.

Are you sure the gun won't go to your right hand? Tried pressing 'H' in-game?

Wait. You can change which hand your gun is in? That's neat.

I was playing css the other day and landed the flukiest head shot. So much so, that the guy I killed swore that I was a hack. I think my 5-12 score put to rest any notions like that though.

Anyway, I'm lining up for a big session tonight if anyone's about. I've got a 10:30am meeting tomorrow, but I might go for da old all nighter.

PlaySatan. What you're talking about doesn't sound like a problem with steam. If you're going to re-install, you should be able to do that and keep your steam account (the cd key should be linked to your account). My flatmate is too stingy to get an actual copy, so he uses a friends account and just goes onto msn first to make sure only one person is using it at any one time (so it's one copy of hl2, installed on two computers with one steam account).

It should just be the settings :huh: You may have to re-install though. Left hand is better than right hand anyway ;).

By the way guys, I had my first game of CSS the other night with Estapol. We got our asses handed to us by some geeks. :P

well, still nothing ive tried everything about a bazillion times and it wont change...

Does it really matter though? Or is that a really n00bish question that completely explains why I am contantly pwned? (because which hand your gun is in makes all the difference?)

It doesn't make a difference to the way the weapon operates, but some people play better with it on the left or the right of the screen. I prefer left hand myself, even though i am right handed. I think it might have some bearing on whether your bullets come from the right or left, as in you might be able to shoot around something on your right easier if you have it set to left handed, and vice versa. I'm not sure though.
