I'm not sure exactly how HDD's work, but it seems like a smart idea. But wouldn't the drive need to spin slower in order to read the bits because there's a smaller readable surface? I guess they already thought of that, or any difference isn't noticable.
Anyhoo, I'm off to see if there's any country coming from my Western Digital.
