QUOTE
Over the past year, Warp Pipe has slowly transitioned to a software technology company, creating a product suite for video game publishers and developers. As we have made this move forward, we have evaluated the immediate needs of the Warp Pipe community in relation to the long term goals of Warp Pipe Technologies and have come to the conclusion that it is not in our best interest to allocate resources on the GameCube tunneling project.

Although it will remain fully functional, we can no longer provide support to our users. However, we feel that, between our support forums and the GameCube tunneling website, there exist enough resources for the community to aid itself when help is needed.

We would like to thank the thousands of loyal members for all their support and patronage. We look forward to making you all proud to be members of the Warp Pipe community as we strive to change the landscape of online gaming as we know it.

So it will still work, does anyone use it?

Warp Pipe Gets a Makeover --- posted by JeffEaston at 1:16 AM CDT on Monday the 4th
Warp Pipe Technologies updated their website this weekend with a brand new, more professional, and downright slick new layout that hints the company is heading in a new direction.

The new company overview states that Warp Pipe is still a privately held company that is "focused on delivering innovative and cost effective online solutions to video game publishers of all sizes". It states that their long hyped project, code-named "demasked", is still under development and "gives publishers and developers the freedom to deploy a wide array of online features into their games without added infrastructure costs seen in traditional computer network".

A "core component" of demasked (yes, all lowercase), is code-named "ant-farm". It will allow publishers to manage and deploy online-enabled games much easier. "Ant-farm also consolidates legacy application servers; allowing them to continuously support today's online-enabled video games for generations to come", the website states.

The overview also asks any video game publisher or developer who would like to know more about demasked to contact them.

For those wondering what will happen to the GameCube tunneling project that launched Warp Pipe into the media, you can still access the original website at cubeonline.warppipe.com. According to the news update on the original site, Warp Pipe will no longer be supporting the tunneling project but it will remain fully functional. However, you can visit the forums, a terrific community of Nintendo fans and video game fans in general, for any needed support.

Finally, with the new layout, a new hint as to what exactly demasked might be, has leaked. Click here to check it out then you can discuss it on the Warp Pipe or DSR forums.

This seems to be a very exciting time for Warp Pipe Technologies and according to the site, they will be attending this year's E3 to get the demasked word out there. Stick with DSR for any new information on the project.
