Title: The End - A Quick Poll
Description: Your say on a unique boss battle.

After finishing off RE4 I've gotten back into MGS3. Last night I had my encounter with The End. Personally I found it one of the most refreshing and unique boss battles I've ever encountered. I loved every second. On the flipside I can also see it frustrating the living shit out of people too. So, what are your thoughts?

Great fight or not?

P.S. Got the moss camo of the old fart too. :D

Oh yeah, and if any mods could be a darling and make this an actual poll I promise to stop stalking your cats.

So it was you who was stalking my cats! :P

I've attached a poll, is that the kind of thing you were after?

I reckon it was a great boss fight, although he annoyed the hell out of me the first time I fought him. Although the second time, I found out something that made it a hell of alot easier to find him. I love the fact that there are other ways to kill him too. :P

Well I was only after 2 options Natrak but 4 will do. ;)

What a snore-fest! The ammount of time I spent looking for this old bag could've been spent better.
The best part of the battle was when I shot his parrot. :evilwink:

On another note, how did you get the Moss outfit off him? I don't think I got it.
And my favourite boss was The Sorrow, as it was very different...

I said it was the best, but I havent even played the game! :D

You had to hold him up three times and he would hand it over.

Good camo too... only non-stealth camo in the game that can achieve a 100% camo index (though it only will do so when you are lying prone on mossy surfaces).

*spoiler*

I thought The Sorrow was a good boss 'battle' too though it took me bloody ages since I pretty much killed every single guard in the game up until that point. It was interesting to see how the way I killed them was reflected in what happened. I could actually track my progress by looking at the death animations.

What's so special/different about The End? Sorry, I haven't played the game, and won't anytime in the future, but am still curious...

You're basically thrown into a massive forest with a sniper, and told to kill this one guy who also has a sniper. There is no set area or anything, it's just a matter of going from vantage point to vantage point with a sniper.

Easily one of the most tense boss battles I've ever been in, not to mention the longest. Clocking in at almost an hour before I finished it.

Takes place over three huge areas against a guy who is nigh on invisible thanks to exceptional camoflage. Thank god he snores and breathes heavily or it would have taken twice as long.

I just found it thrilling since you never knew where the next attack was going to come from. You also ran the risk of getting captured if you stayed in first person mode too long, making the whole experience quite nerve wracking.

A unique gaming experience to be sure.

He freaked the shit out of me when he did that! I was sure I knew where he was so I went to the top of a high ledge to check. I was looking over the ledge in first person for a while and eventually I started hearing what I thought was breathing. I went out of first person to see The End RIGHT BEHIND ME! :argh:

Because of that, I had to head all the way back to him from the prison cell to finish the damn fight.

Haha, he got me the first time. I heard footsteps from somewhere, he said something and I got knocked out. He then carried me away... at which point I reset my console. :P
