Title: Zelda The Minish Cap
Description: Zelda's as good as ever!

Naclj - March 14, 2005 01:51 PM (GMT)
ive managed to import myself a copy of the minish cap cos its just taking too damn long to come out in good ole aus.

ive been playing it for a couple weeks in short spurts and it has reminded me just how fresh and fun a zelda game can feel even when it follows the same basic zelda structured gameplay.

the graphics are adorable, it is a very pretty looking gba game and i believe it is much more attractive than lttp.
the whole minish side of things is heaps of fun and the way every dungeon has a fair amount of exploring to be done before being able to enter it allows you to explore the whole world and take in just how well created it is.

im finding it really funny cos i recently finished RE4 and onsidered it the best game ive played in ages yet after getting roughly half way through minish cap im finding that i am equaly enjoying myself, which has had the side effect of making me want zelda gcn even more than i already did.

the minish cap is a brilliant game, i hope you all get to play it soon as it is well worth everyones time and money.

if you can import it go ahead cos i got it for $55 with shipping so its no more expensive than getting it here.

best gba game in absolutely ages

how close is the local release?

i just kicked off a new game of fire emblem...

KickyFunkFresh - March 15, 2005 05:08 AM (GMT)
I'm pretty sure it's out April 7.

Sybatical - March 15, 2005 05:12 AM (GMT)
I finished this game last year.

Its very short for a Zelda game, Only took me 5-8 Hours.

~DC - March 15, 2005 08:03 AM (GMT)
It's available on DVDCrave for a nice $55. I think I'll probably pick it up sometime in the next couple of weeks.

DJ-Civic - March 15, 2005 03:02 PM (GMT)
Wait, so is it out locally? I thought it was because dvdcrave has it.

Anyway, i'll pick this up eventually. I don't play my GBA as much any more as I've stopped using public transport. ;)

borgster101 - March 15, 2005 11:28 PM (GMT)
DVDCrave got in the US version, the Aussie version comes out April 7.

Sybatical - March 16, 2005 05:01 AM (GMT)
There is no difference.

borgster101 - March 16, 2005 08:34 AM (GMT)
Well there is a difference, the US version has an E slapped on the cover, while the Aussie version will have a G 8+ :P .

Naclj - March 16, 2005 12:03 PM (GMT)
i dont think its a very short game. i am playing it sparingly at the moment though but i find that there is lots of fun and charm cramed into it.

i know that its not the longest zelda game you can tell straight away from the number of dungeons but i find that im enjoying it more than lttp.

its also a lot easier than lttp which can make a big difference in the length of a dungeon.

but its a great game reguardless

Thanks :D works everytime.

KickyFunkFresh - March 31, 2005 07:15 AM (GMT)
It's out next thursday :D

I for one can't wait, as I need something new to play on my DS.

borgster101 - April 2, 2005 12:40 AM (GMT)
 Funny how it's not a DS game.

g1ggy - September 8, 2006 05:33 AM (GMT)
You can still play it no DS...once again, well argued Borg

Drake - September 8, 2006 06:25 AM (GMT)
I've played this and realized how easy these new Zelda games are. You just go up to the enemy and mash B like mad. With LttP and the first two NES games, you must actually fight stratigically. So, to all you n00bs that think Zelda is easy just from playing MC, or WW, or some of the gameboy games, go buy a copy of LttP. I dare you.

Argh!! Damn your bumps :P more Evolution memories.

Drake; yeah the Zelda games have got easier over time, hopefully Twilight Princess will go back to the more challenging days, even though the games never were extremely challenging.

g1ggy - September 12, 2006 07:31 AM (GMT)
oh get over it, I do it for a good cause

*hides plans to annoy the hell out of borg*

Curse those plans :P *shakes fist*

NismoR34 - September 12, 2006 04:42 PM (GMT)
What's this? Borg, spamming? :P

I still need to get my hands on Minish Cap, it seems.

g1ggy - September 12, 2006 10:03 PM (GMT)
oh you do, it's REALLY good

R3AP3R - September 12, 2006 10:23 PM (GMT)
yeah but i just finished Links Awakening (GBC) and it was HARDER than Minish Cap even LttP was harder than it.

One sentence: easiest Zelda game ive ever played and ive played a lot.

Quiet you :P

But yeah to get things back on track, Minish Cap is a fine Zelda game, less dungeons than what one would like though, but still pretty cool.

g1ggy - September 13, 2006 06:12 AM (GMT)
Yes, less dungeons, but more in between, making it good for people who generally suck at RPGs (points to self)

borgster101 - September 13, 2006 08:06 AM (GMT)
*notices g1ggy's sig and status* I wont go off topic so I've posted my thoughts here.

On Minish Cap, what was an interesting element was the kinstone system, where when you fused them with people a secret passage would open up or something, though sometimes all you would get was another kinstone  :P

g1ggy - September 14, 2006 10:28 PM (GMT)
yes, but how annoying was it to be told of a kinstone's purpose EVERY time you got one...

True Slash - January 9, 2007 03:11 AM (GMT)
The game is fun until like the last boss when you have to beat him like three times in a row

NismoR34 - January 9, 2007 05:24 PM (GMT)
Heh, interesting that this thread should be bumped. I just recently bought a copy of the game from a certain member of these forums who will remain nameless (like it wouldn't be hard to guess though) and as such will be playing it in the near future. Looks like I'll be using this thread for my impressions then. :)

terra567 - January 18, 2007 01:22 PM (GMT)
I love this game I completed it once but am gonna complete it alot of times
