Title: Batman Begins
CLL - April 30, 2004 08:20 AM (GMT)
Anyone else interested in the new Batman Begins movie? It's got a pretty decent cast, but personally I think it will only be good if they can keep the same dark and mysterious tone that was apparent during Tim Burton's first two films.
Here's a pic of the new Batsuit.

Hopefully it will be dark doesn't have to have the same atsomphere of the Tim Burton films but if it does thats hardly a bad thing. I hope the movie will show his lust to put things right no matter the cost to himself and the control that it takes for him not too kill.
Pic not working?

Batman is cool.
I hope this one turns out nicely.
I shall be keeping a close eye on this.
Thanks for the pciture link CLL :)
However Batman movies will never compare to the great (and hilarious)....

Holy torpedoes Batman.. there were four super-villains for the price of one!

This movie is so going to rock! It's got an excellent cast, an excellent screenwriter, an excellent director... holy cow, there'd have to be a monumentally zany reason for it not to rock, Batman! :P

It's looking impressive, I just wish Darren Aronofsky (Pi/Requiem for a Dream) was still on board as director, but Christopher Nolan seems like he knows what's going on. I think Nolan's vision is almost in in sync with Tim Burton's movies in some ways - i'd just hate to have a movie that has so much promise being associated with two stupid films (Forever/ Batman & Robin). Batman Begins should be in a different franchise of it's own, distancing itself from the previously mentioned films. Anyway, i'm definately excited about Christian Bale getting the starring role as Batman, i've always been a fan of Bale's. :)

I believe it is. There'd be many inconsistencies if it belonged to the Bat-history of Tim Burton's two films and their two apostates.

Burton's vision was derived partly from Frank Miller's and Nolan does the same, but more so.
And for those who hate the new batmobile, Nolan even took some inspiration from Miller for the design of the new vehicle too:

So, ner! Personally, I think The Dark Knight Returns is the best Batman comic out there and for Nolan to take a lot of inspiration from it only benefits the overall quality and Bat-like nature of the film.

Never in the Miller run was the Batmobile a tractor like tank.

I didn't mean the Miller run. Sorry. I meant The Dark Knight Returns' (by Frank Miller) batmobile. Just look at that picture of it from DKR. That's a "tractor like tank" if ever I saw anyway.
Again, sorry for the mix up. :)
