Title: Tech Heads! I Need Your Help.

Hello - February 11, 2005 07:52 AM (GMT)
I purchased Metroid Prime 2: Echoes today. It only runs on 60HZ. My tele only runs at 50HZ. My question: Is there any possible way that you can screw around with stuff to get an old tele to run at 60HZ?

Good to see you bought Echoes hello, my guess is that you'll need to get a new TV.

No, so you'll either need to buy a new tv or return the game. It sucks I know.

Damn. I suppose I'll be buying a new television, then. So many memories :( 15 years of good times :(

Mods can lock this now, I suppose...

Nintendo sure knows how to manage a business!

Step 1. Alienate a portion of your customer base.

That portion of customer base is likely to be extremely small, since the limitation only effects PAL terriories and people who own 15 year old TVs, I think hello was the only guy who missed out :P .

Perhaps we could keep this topic open and change it to the thread for TV set-up questions... or something in a similar vein?

Well, I guess it can't be helped. As someone once said: "I don't know a formula for success, but a formula for failure is to try and please everyone"

I already told you in the other thread, but I'll say it again; You have to change the vertical hold.

It's usually there as a knob/dial at the rear of the TV.

If there's no external adjustment, you'll have to open up your telly and ajust it yourself...but I'd advise against that. :P
