Title: Ninja Gaiden or Crimson Skies?
Description: Help me decide!

BrotherEstapol - January 31, 2005 07:06 AM (GMT)
Ok, for my brithday my cousin gave me a $50 gift voucher for Gamehead.com.au, and I've decided that I'll either get Crimson Skies, or Ninja Gaiden. (both are $49.60)

Now, I've heard that Ninja Gaiden is one of the best Xbox games available(although a tad hard. :P), but I've also played Crimson Skies, and I really liked it, and I'm a fan of flight sims/3D shm-ups(ala all-range mode in Lylat Wars).

Is there anyone out there who owns both and could give me a little bit of feedback?(I also made a poll)

Thanks. :)

Crimson Skies without a doubt mate. ;) Ninja Gaiden is a great game but the difficulty is absolutely insane and by the sounds of it you are a fan of 3D combat flight sims, with Skies being one of the best currently available for this generation of consoles.

Crimson Skies, I thought it was a great game, having played through some Ninja Gaiden it is definitely not very addictive gameplay.

Errr... Ninja Gaiden. An amazing game if you have the balls for it.

If you decide to go down the Crimson Skies path then ignore that and buy Yager instead which is a much better single player game.

Crimson Skies is great but nothing on Yager (for single player anyway).

Well they have the PC-DVD version of Yager for only $18....and I am getting a Xbox to USB cord so I can use my S on my PC. :)

Great, thanks pres, now what do I get with my extra $30? :P

Get Gaiden you pussy. Don't shy away from the challenge. (even though I did  )

I say get Ninja Gaiden, only cause that's the only title I've played and it kicks arse. :)

Ok, while I have both Crimson Skies and Ninja Gaiden, and think both are must haves in anyone's Xbox collection, if I had to choose, i'd be picking Crimson Skies without a doubt. Never once did I get frustrated, or bored while playing it. The whole way through the game was just non stop dogfighting fun, and I loved every minute of it.

You'd be a fool not to get CS, ....and btw don't listen to Prez.

I heard Ninja Gaiden was a tad too short. But look at it this way Estapol, you love you flight sims and you love ninjas, so why not get Ninja Gaiden now, and then wait for Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War on PS2, its a must have and its way better than Crimson Skies. (imVo)

Hmm, lets see, how about no DZ? :cheese:

Ace Combat 5: 86% on gamerankings.com
Crimson Skies: 90% on gamerankings.com

Ace Combat 5: No online play.
Crimson Skies: Online play. :cheese:

Ace Combat 5: On the PS2
Crimson Skies: On the Xbox

and finally...

QUOTE (IGN's review of Ace Combat 5)
If you're looking for the best console flight action game in town (save for Crimson Skies on Xbox), you'll not need to look past Ace Combat 5.

Thanks for info DZ, you've helped me make my desicsion; Don't get Ace Combat 5 and PS2.

I've decided that I'll get Yager for the PC, and Crimson Skies for the Xbox and just pay the difference. :)

<_< Hmph!

Constant PS2 ramblings... what would we do without you DZ.

But its true! IGN aren't the holy grail. It all comes down to personal preference, Estapol asked for some advice and I give him the best. His loss. :P

It's probably best to promote games that he has consoles for though. :P

WTF then!! Estapol doesn't have a PS2?? Oh shit, I didn't know that! But he frequently posts in the PS forum saying he's played this and tried that. Damn. Well, again, his loss... :P

I'd much rather have a good PC, GCN and Xbox than a PS2. ;)

How many consoles do you have again DZ? :P

Anyways you guys have make my desicsion, so this thread has served it's purpose. :)
