Title: Madden NFL 2004
Description: The ultimate NFL game

Today I bought Madden NFL 2004 for 16 bucks. I dunno what happened, whether it was a mix up or whatever, but the price was so damn low I had to snap it up. And I did. I've played Madden a few times before and although my knowledge of the defence plays and such is limited I am still a huge Madden fan. I am of course, as always, the Greenbay Packers (if Kev was here he'd make an hilarious joke no doubt...) I've been the Packers all my life dating back to the 64. I always drive with Favre and when Peterson comes on to replace a fatigued or injured Favre I almost cry as no one can throw like the Favre.

Last week in Newcastle and the year before that with Madden 2003, me and my cousin would have some absolutely heated battles, always me being the Packers and always him driving with the Vikings and Dante Culpepper. We knew most names of our players and each had our favourites. Once my cousin threw in 5 touchdowns to Randy Moss, simply because he loves him so.

This game is the ultimate multiplayer game for NFL fans and I played Madden each day for a week in Newcastle. It's that damn good.

So who plays? I know Mykle does and maybe Jawsy but who else gives Madden a run or even NFL in general? Who understands a Hail Mary and who wouldn't know the difference between a linebacker and a tightend?

I would love to understand NFL as it looks cool, but it just gives me a headache every time I try to undestand it. :P
"1st down"? "Incomplete"? WTF?

I bought the 2002 version of Madden for the GCN and while the gameplay was good and presentation exceptional have to admit I preferred the Sega Sports NFL series as the true NFL simulator.

That is a nice price for a solid game though [m]av. I'm sure it'll last you at least several months. ;)

Strategy I guess. It's an awesome sport that you just gain large levels of respect for when you start to understand it. I have enormous respect for Favre after the year he had, personally and he still led the Packers to the playoffs. It is a deep and richly rewarding game, that is finally starting to get the treatment it deserves each year from EA.

I have Madden 2002, but i am looking to update to 2005 when the price is right.

Personally I am a Rams man, Faulk, Bruce, Warner made a good combo, too bad they lost Warner and are now lagging behind.

This game didn't take off like I expected. I play like 10 minutes and then give up. I think I've officially outgrown games, they hold no interest for me...
